Hi, we’re Blake and Lacey! We are the co-founders, co-owners, and the heart behind EarthTōn & Co. Established in 2024, our business was born from a shared love of design, craftsmanship, and the belief that every piece of art should tell a story.
It all started with a simple project: geometrically designed barn doors for our bedroom closet. What began as a DIY solution quickly revealed a passion (and a talent) we couldn’t ignore. As we worked side by side in our 1914 Eden Prairie farmhouse (a labor of love we are restoring ourselves), we realized this was more than a hobby. It was the foundation of something meaningful.
From those first barn doors, EarthTōn blossomed.
Now, every piece we create, from our barn wood wall art honors the wood’s natural imperfections, its scars and grain, just as life’s struggles shape us into something stronger, more beautiful when seen in full light.

"Our art is not just made; it is lived. Each one-of-a-kind piece is a reflection of my journey through recovery and mental health challenges, moments of struggle, and the quiet strength that comes from choosing to rebuild."
~W. Blake Ogram
Every piece of reclaimed barn wood tells a story of resilience. It is aged and weathered on the outside, yet holds timeless strength within. The sturdy pine, having endured the weight of generations, carries untold stories from the axe that first cut it down to the carpenter who built a home and all the hands that shaped its history. My passion for this wood runs as deep as my love for nature itself, and some pieces are so deeply inspiring they feel nearly impossible to part with.
Now, every piece we create honors the wood’s natural imperfections. Its scars and grain, just as life’s struggles shape us into something stronger, more beautiful when seen in full light.
But EarthTōn isn’t just about artistry. It’s about renewal, the kind that begins when we stop pretending. Your struggles are like the character in my barn wood. They do not weaken your structure; they prove your durability. Having the courage to show your grain and your knots is what makes you a masterpiece of resilience and experience.
What we create through EarthTōn is deeply personal. It is about mental health, second chances, and creating a beautiful future for our community, together.
To us, this is more than art. It is a reminder:
Nature can restore.
Art can transform.
Renewal is always possible.

Meeting Blake in his early recovery, I too, was going through a life changing time that challenged my mental and emotional strength. Not only that, it was at the height of COVID; but that is a story for another time. Regardless, it was a time of mental health, connection through disconnection, mindfulness, and staying present. We found solace in each other through these times. Blake's calming, grounded, almost hypnotic energy complimented the everyday anxieties everyone has, including myself; As my accepting, understanding, and call-to-action spirit was Blake's rock when he needed one.
Each vessel tells its own story, too. We source unique wooden dough bowls, each one carrying the marks of its own history. No two are alike, just like the lives they will accompany. Into them, we pour wax infused with scent blends that ground, comfort, and inspire, creating something that feels both timeless and personal.
Every candle is crafted with care, not just to scent a room, but to remind us we are not alone in the struggle. These candles carry quiet reminders that you matter, that you deserve rest, and that even the smallest pause can begin to shift the weight you carry.
Like Blake’s art, our candles are born from the belief that struggle and beauty can coexist. They are crafted as companions for the journey through stress, healing, and renewal, whispering what we all need to hear sometimes: you are not alone.
To us, these are more than candles. They are reminders:
Light can steady the dark.
Scent can soothe the mind.
Healing is possible, one small moment at a time.

I’m Blake, the artist behind EarthTōn & Co. What began as a creative outlet slowly became a reflection of my own journey of renewal and growth. I work with reclaimed barnwood that has already lived a full life, often pulled from barns built more than a century ago. The weathering, the grain, and the imperfections all tell a story of endurance. Giving this wood a second life is my way of honoring its history while creating something new and meaningful from it.
Each piece I make is deeply personal. The geometric patterns I build represent balance, perspective, and the process of rebuilding. Working with my hands allows me to slow down and be present. The act of cutting, shaping, and fitting each piece together reminds me that healing and creation often follow the same rhythm. My art helps me stay grounded and connected to something larger than myself.
What matters most to me is that the people who see my work feel something real. I leave the marks of age, the cracks, and the nail holes because they show that beauty can exist in imperfection. To me, that is what resilience looks like. Every piece carries a reminder that even after hardship, something strong and beautiful can rise again. My hope is that each creation speaks to someone else who is finding their own way forward.

I’m Lacey, the candle maker and co-founder of EarthTōn & Co. What began as a small idea at our kitchen table has grown into a way to create light, calm, and connection. Each candle I pour is inspired by moments of stillness and the need to pause. I choose fragrances that bring a sense of peace and remind us to slow down and breathe. My hope is that when someone lights one of our candles, they feel a small shift inside, a reminder that they are safe, grounded, and not alone.
Candle making gives me space to be present. From melting the wax to blending the fragrance and pouring each vessel by hand, every part of the process feels intentional. I believe small acts of care can create real change, and a single light can make a room feel different. My goal has always been to make something that brings comfort, not just scent.
Each candle we make carries a story. Some are about healing, others about courage or renewal, but all of them are rooted in hope. Through this work, I want to remind others that light is always within reach, even in hard seasons. Every candle is a quiet offering, a way to bring warmth, reflection, and a sense of peace into the world.
